Picton Picturefest is a collective of film professionals and media artists from across Ontario who participate in a film festival and youth retreat held in Prince Edward County, Ontario. Consisting of four days of films and workshops with community and youth education the common threads throughout, Picton Picturefest will alter the way participants engage with cinema.
The festival will facilitate workshops that will give a chosen group of eager young participants ages 16 and up an opportunity for an intensive four-day immersion in the filmmaking process: You will work with accomplished filmmakers as a film crew, being taken through the filmmaking process from pre production to post production culminating with a showcase of your work at the end of the festival. Participants will also have an opportunity to camp out at an arts colony for the duration of the fest with the festival organizers.
