BEST OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT 1st Place

The Urban Post Production Filmmakers Award from Urban Post Productions will include 5000 dollars worth of post production services to any future short film or feature produced by a winner and a 1 month internship within their post production facility along with a cash award of 750.00 dollars.

DIRECTOR’S AWARD FOR FILM EXCELLENCE

ONE-WEEK DIGITAL FILMMAKING WORKSHOP
This one-week course will further your understanding of the requirements and rigors of filmmaking, as well as the exhilaration of completing your own short film project. You will write, produce, direct, and digitally edit your own film on digital video and will rotate among crew positions when your classmates shoot.

The program begins with two days of intensive study in camera, writing and directing. On Day Three students begin shooting their individual projects. Day Five and Six are comprised of more classes, post-production, and the final screening.

This course is offered at NYFA's New York City Headquarters and at Universal Studios, Los Angeles, CA; Harvard University, Cambridge, MA; Disney-MGM Studios and Universal Studios, Orlando, FL; London, England; Paris France; and Florence, Italy. This prize covers the tuition valued at US$1,500. Travel expenses and room and board are not included. NYFA’s housing coordinators are available to assist with finding suitable accommodations.

SMASHBOX People's Choice Award. This award will be presented to the choice of the audience from all the films showcased. Each audience member will receive a ballot that they may fill out and deposit to a ballot box. This award is the last award presented as the ballots will be counted at the end of the evening. This is a CASH award.
