Submissions
All submissions are due by 4p.m. on March 22, 2010.
You may submit more than on entry but each entry must have its own submission form.

Rules and Regulations
1.The TSFF is open to any young filmmakers under the age of 21 (as of January 1st in the Festival year.) .
2.All films submitted must follow the specific TSFF Guidelines as outlined below.
--> Two copies of your film must be submitted: a DVD format (which can be played in a DVD player) and an electronic (.mov, .wmv, or .avi) copy of your film burned onto a data disc
--> .mov format is preferred for the electronic copy
--> Attempt to export your film at 640 x 480 resolution, to the highest possible output quality. Please note that submissions sent at other resolutions or qualities will be made to fit 640 x 480
--> Submissions that do not include a data disc with either an electronically-formatted copy of your film (in .mov, .wmv, or .avi format) will not be considered for screening.3.Films may have been created as part of a media arts class, film club, or independently.
4.Films must be written, directed, edited and produced by youth 21 years of age or younger. Teachers or film advisors are permitted to oversee the project and provide general direction, but films must not involve “professional” filmmakers in the process. There are no restrictions on actors or other participants in the film.
5.Teachers/advisors may submit films of behalf of students and teachers may supervise film completion, as part of a media arts course or film club activity.
6.Films must not exceed 6 minutes in length – including credits. The festival especially encourages short submissions of 3-6 minutes in length.
7.All non-English language films must have English subtitles.
8.Submissions received after the entry deadline will not be considered for awards but may be included in the screening showcase.
9.Submitted films will not be returned, so please don’t send originals.
10.Illegible or incomplete entry forms will not be accepted. Please type or print clearly and be sure to include accurate contact information, so that we may reach you.
11.Proof of age must be sent with your film if you are entering from outside of Canada to avoid disqualification.
12.There is no limit to the number of films an individual, group, club, teacher, or school can submit; however, each film requires a separate entry form.
13.Participants are responsible for obtaining any necessary approvals for use of music, visuals, etc. The TSFF accepts no responsibility for copyright infringement or other misuse.
14.By submitting a film to the Festival, participants hereby and expressly grant permission to the Toronto Student Film Festival to use clips of their film(s) for promotional, publicity or other purposes designed to further the TSFF. These clips may be shown or featured in a promotional video, on the TSFF web site, or offered as a TSFF sampler of “best picks” of the festival.
