Countdown to Festival
At 5:40 p.m. there will be a special screening of Andante by Byron Austen Ashley. Byron is an aspiring producer originally from Toronto. He first appeared at TSFF in 2007 where his film "Paper Boy" won the CTV "On The Lot" People's Choice Award. In 2008, he returned to TSFF, where his film "Home" was the recipient of the Motorola Excellence in Mobile Filmmaking Award. He currently resides in the Chicago suburbs, where he attends Northwestern University, studying Radio/Television/Film and Economics. This summer, he will finally relocate to Los Angeles to complete an internship at Lionsgate Films, and make his first mark on the Hollywood scene.
"Andante", a project completed by Byron in his first year at Northwestern, tells the story of Jordan Terrio, a handicapped high-school student dealing with his first serious crush: the star of his school's soccer team.

This will give you an opportunity to meet Byron and find out how he followed his passion to attend film school after he completed High School.
