Executive Committee

Harris Casper

Harris Casper is a grade 11 student at Royal St. Georges College. He has been a volunteer with the Toronto Student Film Festival for the past two years and is interested in film and other related media forms. He likes film, literature, and long walks on the beach.

Kjell Pladsen

Kjell is a student in Grade 12, interested in film and other media. He loves Djing and it is his first year helping with TSFF.

Mackenzie Gilmore

Mackenzie is a student at Royal St. George’s College. He has previously been a volunteer at the festival, and decided to get more involved in the festival for his grade 12 year. He has a passion for watching films, and he’s fascinated about what goes on behind the scenes.

Matthew Raymond

Matthew Raymond is a Grade 11 student at RSGC and it is his first year on the executive committee. He is passionate about photography, film-making and graphic design. He is also interested in travel, literature, snowboarding, skateboarding and documentary film.

Morgan Byrne

Morgan Byrne is a grade eleven student that is currently attending Royal Saint Georges College. He likes all sorts of music and movies and is looking forward toworking on the executive committee this year.

Nico Arntsen

Born in Argentina, Nico is currently a grade twelve high school student in Toronto. He is interested in learning more about the film industry and one day hopes to make a film of his own. Last year was his first year involved in the festival and is very happy to be back.

Andrea Kaye

Andrea is a social worker in two Toronto schools. Listening to and supporting youth is her passion. It has been great fun to help organize the festival and witness the power of artful storytelling through film. This is her second year with the TSFF.

Cathie Gryfe-Seeley

Cathie Gryfe-Seeley is the Spanish teacher at Royal St. George’s College. She decided to get involved in the festival two years ago after being so impressed with the films she saw created by young people from all over the world.

Emma Totten

Emma is a teacher and community service coordinator at a Toronto school for boys. She strongly believes in learning through experiential education and strives to help students find their passion. She enjoys working with the Toronto Student Film Festival, helping youth to test the waters in the film industry.

Jamie MacRae

Jamie MacRae is the founding Director of the Festival. He is head of the Visual and Media Art Department at Crescent School. Jamie’s belief in creating the Festival was that the youth of today needed a venue for their stories to be seen by their peers and the public, and to be rewarded for their creativity in the medium of film.

Paul Darvasi

Paul Darvasi is an English and media studies teacher at Royal St. George’s College. He enjoys travel, literature, new media and film. This is his second year on the organization committee for the film festival and he can’t wait to watch this year’s batch of entries.
